Key takeaways

  • Higgsfield bundles its own Soul, Popcorn and DoP models with 35+ third-party engines behind one interface, and more than 100 named camera moves do the directing.
  • It started as a social-creator tool and has largely become an enterprise one. The company says roughly 70% of its revenue came from enterprise clients by mid-2026, a near reversal of the year before. Solo creators are still well served, but the roadmap is not aimed at them.
  • There is no free-forever tier. A rotating $0 one-day trial auto-renews into a paid plan unless you cancel, and paid plans run $9 to $79 a month on credits that reset each cycle instead of rolling over.
  • Traffic is enormous and still climbing: about 26.8M visits in June 2026, up 10.6% on May, against roughly 12M eight months earlier. Estimates vary by a few million either way, so treat the exact number as a range.
  • What a clip costs depends on the model, the steps and the duration, and rates rose more than once in 2026. Run your real workload through the trial before you commit to a plan.

What is Higgsfield?

Higgsfield makes images and video in one place. It ships its own models: the Soul family for stills, Popcorn for edits, and DoP, a camera-directed video model. Around them sits one workflow with a library of more than 100 named camera moves, a character-consistency system called Soul ID, and workspaces that take a still from first generation to finished shot.

Control is the pitch. Most tools hand you a text box and hope the prompt lands. Higgsfield lets you start from a prompt or from a still you already have, then pick the camera move off a list. Dolly zoom, 360 orbit, crash zoom. The same shot comes back the same way twice, which is why it reads as a production tool rather than a novelty, and why it ships plugins for Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve and Figma alongside the browser app.

On top of its own models sits an aggregation layer that puts somewhere between 35 and 50 third-party engines behind the same controls. Veo, Kling, Seedance and Seedream, WAN, MiniMax Hailuo, Grok Imagine, Nano Banana and FLUX.2 are all in there. The roster changes, and that churn is part of the model.

How it works

  1. Start from a prompt or a photo

Generate a still in Soul, edit one in Popcorn, or bring your own. Soul ID trains a reusable character or product on 20 or so photos in about three minutes, so the same face or the same bottle shows up shot after shot.

  2. Pick the model, then pick the shot

Route the job to Higgsfield's own DoP or to Veo, Kling, Seedance, Grok Imagine and thirty-odd others behind the same controls. Then choose a named camera move from a library of 100+ instead of describing one in a prompt.

  3. Render where you work

Generate in the browser, or drive the same presets from the Higgsfield CLI, its MCP server, or plugins for Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve and Figma. Credits are spent either way; any “Unlimited” window applies on the website only.

Features

Named camera moves, not prompt roulette

DoP ships a library of more than 100 named moves: dolly zoom, 360 orbit, crash zoom, bullet time, robo arm. You pick the shot rather than describing it, and the same pick gives you the same move twice. Higgsfield says the model blends diffusion with reinforcement learning so it reasons about how a scene should move.

Soul ID keeps a face or a product consistent

Train a character or a product on 20 or so photos in about three minutes and reuse it across shots. That's what recurring-spokesperson and UGC ad work actually needs. One catch: an ID trained on one Soul model doesn't carry over to another without retraining.

Thirty-five to fifty models, one set of controls

Veo, Kling, Seedance, Seedream, WAN, MiniMax Hailuo, Grok Imagine, Nano Banana and FLUX.2 all run behind the same interface. Higgsfield's own pitch is being the best interface to everyone else's models rather than owning the best one.

Images and edits, not only video

Soul generates stills across three tiers up to a cinematic-grade look, Popcorn edits them, Cinema Studio turns them into shots. The loop stays in one place instead of spanning three subscriptions.

Plugins, a CLI and an MCP server

Native plugins for Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve and Figma, plus a CLI and MCP server so an agent can browse presets and fire off generations. Worth knowing: API, MCP and CLI work spends credits even during an “Unlimited” window.

Enterprise workspace and campaign agents

Enterprise adds SSO/SAML, role-based access, pooled credits, dedicated GPU capacity, a no-retention mode, EU data residency and contract-backed IP indemnification. Self-serve plans get none of that. The Supercomputer agent, built with NVIDIA and launched in June 2026, runs campaigns end to end.

What people use it for

  • Turning a product still into ad-ready social video without booking a shoot
  • Running recurring-spokesperson and UGC ad campaigns with a consistent face or product via Soul ID
  • Building cinematic short-form with named camera moves in Cinema Studio
  • Testing the same shot across several video models without leaving one interface
  • Producing whole campaigns, brief to live ad, through the Supercomputer agent and Marketing Studio
  • Driving generations from an editor plugin, the CLI, or an MCP-connected agent

Where it struggles: exact brand assets. The models reconstruct pixels rather than preserve vector data, so precise logo geometry and exact brand colours can drift. If your work depends on pixel-perfect brand marks, test that first.

Everything is metered in credits. Subscription credits reset each cycle and don't roll over, and separately bought credit packs expire after 90 days. What a clip costs depends on the model, the steps and the duration, and rates have gone up more than once during 2026. Three things to know before you subscribe. The $0 trial lasts a single day and auto-renews into a paid plan unless you cancel. Refunds only apply within 7 days of your first purchase, only if you've used zero credits, minus a service fee of up to 6%, and renewals are never refundable. And “Unlimited” windows apply on the higgsfield.ai website only: API, MCP and CLI generations spend credits regardless. Tier names and prices changed at least once in 2026, so check the official page for the live ones.

Traffic & reach

Third-party estimates, a proxy for adoption rather than an official number. The shape is as telling as the size: around 60% of visits arrive direct, which is what a bookmarked daily-use tool looks like rather than one people find through search. The CEO claims it's the most-visited video generation platform on the web, reached without paid ads. That ranking is his, not ours.

What to know before you commit

  • What people rate it for. Users generally place Higgsfield at or near the top for cinematic short-form, and the preset library gets most of the credit. The named camera moves encode real cinematography instead of translating a text description, and output quality holds up against anything else in the category.

  • The billing complaints are a pattern, not noise. Complaints about cancellation and credit handling show up across Discord, Trustpilot and LinkedIn, and most one-star reviews are about billing rather than output. Read the refund terms before you subscribe.

  • A Forbes investigation raised serious questions. In early 2026 Forbes reported that a Higgsfield influencer marketing kit contained stock footage relabelled with the company's logo and presented as AI output; a co-founder said it was made internally for ideation and shared by mistake. The same piece documented non-consensual deepfakes of public figures and racist content using copyrighted characters circulating through the company's creator program, and quoted the Chief Strategy Officer saying controversial content gets attention. The CEO later acknowledged that rapid scaling had opened gaps between the company's values and its processes.

  • Its own policy is stricter than that record suggests. Higgsfield's published terms prohibit non-consensual intimate imagery, commit to removing validly reported material within 48 hours, and run its own safety filtering alongside each model provider's. How well that's enforced is hard to judge from the outside.

  • The growth numbers are the company's own. Higgsfield reports going from roughly $20M to $700M in annualised revenue inside a year, and says 78% of the Fortune 500 use the platform. None of it is independently audited, so treat those figures as marketing until they are.
