What people rate it for. The praise is consistent about one thing, infrastructure abstraction. Reviewers value the no-code concept, the low promotional price, 24/7 availability and being able to use an agent through a messaging app they already have open. HostAdvice's July 10, 2026 review characterised setup as fast and cheap. Beginners don't have to build a Docker environment or maintain a server, and for a lot of buyers that is the whole purchase.

The no-code promise breaks at channel setup. The same HostAdvice review reported a Discord integration that failed silently because of a hidden setting defaulting to block-all-messages mode, and a WhatsApp connection that failed completely with cryptic errors it could not resolve. Its conclusion was that the setup process assumes you understand Discord bot permissions, OAuth flows and Docker basics, which is more than the marketing implies. Official pages describe those channels as supported, so verify the ones you need in a live trial or the current documentation before you commit.

Where your prompts go is not documented. Hostinger says each managed instance runs in an isolated Docker container, but isolation describes the container, not the data path. CriticNest says default prompts and responses may pass through Hostinger, nexos.ai and the underlying model provider, and Hostinger's privacy policy permits its affiliates, service providers and machine-learning or AI-powered providers to process personal information as needed to deliver services. No OpenClaw-specific training opt-out or data-flow statement was found. If confidential or regulated data is going anywhere near this, get written confirmation on prompt retention, training use, subprocessors and a DPA first.

The billing terms are stricter than typical hosting. Hosting products are generally refundable within 30 days, but the June 30, 2026 refund policy explicitly excludes all VPS hosting plans, and AI credit purchases are non-refundable, so credits should be treated as sunk cost. A Trustpilot reviewer on March 23, 2026 alleged that a 16 GB OpenClaw VPS crashed with heartbeat errors after every prompt and that refund handling was difficult; that is one unverified customer account rather than evidence of a systemic defect, but it lands exactly where the policy is least forgiving.

One maintenance signal, correctly sized. A public OpenClaw GitHub issue in March 2026 documented a Hostinger gateway running 1,090 commits behind the main branch. It was closed as deployment-specific and non-actionable, and the resolution distinguished managed automatic updates from VPS updates the operator controls. That is a maintenance signal about a particular deployment rather than a breach, and no confirmed Hostinger OpenClaw data breach, regulatory action, lawsuit or shutdown was found.

The company numbers are Hostinger's own. Hostinger reports €275.4 million in 2025 revenue with 51% year-over-year growth and says it serves more than 5 million users in over 150 countries with 900 or more employees. Those are self-reported and unaudited. A separate database claims 29 million customers, which conflicts sharply with Hostinger's own About page and should not be used. Whichever figures you accept, none of them are OpenClaw figures, and general Hostinger customer ratings say nothing about this product's reliability.
